ART-SCIENCE-TECHNOLOGY-SOCIETY 

HACKATHON-SciArt

During the month of January 2023, the Hackathon-SciArt will take place. A hybrid event (online-face-to-face) whose purpose is to give participants the opportunity to collaborate in teams to co-create works of art inspired by Science and Technology and that, in turn, these works serve to disseminate science among the public in a sensitive and sensory way.

ASTER>ARTE^CIENCIA The thematic areas chosen for the event are two:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • The Environment

This edition will be supported by:

The Hackathon-SciArt will focus on transdisciplinary cultural innovation, especially in the city of Seville, encouraging the development of new ideas, works and reflections on the synergy between Art and Science that help to establish alternative views to science and other ways of doing art.

Media and resources (free hardware, projectors, etc.) will be provided for the realisation of the works included in the exhibition. 

Finally, all the projects that have been completed will be displayed in an online gallery, making a selection of them to be shown in three exhibitions, the final ASTER>ARTE^CIENCIA exhibition at Fundación de Aparejadores y Arquitectos técnicos de Sevilla (COAAT-SE). In addition, a catalog with the best works will be published.

The SciArt Hackathon will be held in January 2023.

Make a note of the dates:

-Warming up: during the two weekends prior to the Hackathon-SciArt event we will carry out online preparatory activities. They will take place on Friday, January 13, 2023, 17:00-18:00 and Friday, January 20, 2023, 17:00-18:00 (Time in Spain).

– HackSciArt: HackSciArt ASTER will be held on Tuesday 24, Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 January 2023 (Time in Spain) from 16.00 to 21.00 h. (*Delivery of credentials on the 24th at 15.30 h.) will take place the HackSciArt ASTER, in face-to-face format.

LOCATION

The face-to-face event and online interaction during the Hackathon-SciArt event will be held at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Informática (ETSII) of the University of Seville.
